The brazilian tourism website - Ecoviagem, published today in its news section a text about the tourist attraction of Jardim (MS), Brazil, Mysterious Lagoon (Lagoa Misteriosa).
The characteristics of the location and activities offered by the tour are some of the topics mentioned. See below:
"A blue water lagoon that impresses for its incredible depth and transparency, the Mysterious Lagoon is at the bottom of a doline 75 meters in depth, type of geological feature of karst areas similar to a hole, which is all covered by woody vegetation and surrounbed by woods".
"The Mysterious Lagoon was closed to tourist visits since 2005, due to lack of Speleological Management Plan, a document that includes the environmental assessment of the area and establishes guidelines for their management and conservation. That same year, the pond area was acquired by Grupo Rio da Prata, responsable for the attractives Recanto Ecológico Rio da Prata and Estância Mimosa, which initiated the environmental studies required for the Management Plan, which will play the Mysterious Lagoon tourism operation, following the same guidelines for quality care and sustainability that led the Recanto Ecológico Rio da Prata and Estancia Mimosa receiving several national awards".
