The city of Bonito (MS) won for the 10th consecutive time the title of Best Ecotourism Destination , after a vote by readers of Viagem e Turismo magazine.
The result of the annual award was announced yesterday (19th) at night cocktail party for 700 guests at the Morro da Urca, in Rio de Janeiro during the ABAV 2011 - Fair of the Americas. Bonito competed in the ecotourism category alongside major tourist destinations as Brotas (SP), Fernando de Noronha (PE), Chapada Diamantina (Bahia) and Itacare (Bahia). The Mayor of Bonito Jose Arthur Soares de Figueiredo received the prize accompanied by Secretary Tourism Augusto Barbosa Mariano and Director Tourism Clayton Castilho and remaining authorities.
