The Associação Mata Ciliar, a non-profit civil entity based in Pedreira, São Paulo, Brazil, and units in Jundiaí and Águas de Lindóia, offers a special opportunity for those wishing to contribute to the preservation of wild animals.

This is the program "Adopt an animal". Arara, puma, maned wolf, ocelot, howler and capuchin monkeys are animal that are waiting for "sponsors" who can assist in the rehabilitation work of the association and who have been victims of trafficking, accidents and other harmful actions.

According to information from the site of Associação Mata Ciliar, donating works as follows:

- The adoption is symbolic and monthly, where each sponsor donates 20 dollars a month for a period of one year.

- As a way of thanking the person to adopt a pet will receive a frame with a picture of his "godson" and will be informed monthly on how the animal is.

- You can also arrange educational visits to the Centre for Rehabilitation of Wild Animals (CRAS) to know and follow his "godson" - these visits must be pre-booked - and can make the choice to receive a printed certificate of adoption (by principles ecological, the Associação Mata Ciliar gives preference to send the certificate in digital media).
